The Code of the Woosters by P.G. Wodehouse

Bertie Wooster lives his life by his code. It is simply this: “Never let a pal down.” So it is with firm resolve that he comes to the aid of his old school friends noted newt-fancier Gussie Fink-Nottle and former rugby player turned curate the Rev. H.P. “Stinker” Pinker. Sadly the code also extends to aunts, which is not good news for our hero.

Thankfully Bertie has an ace up his sleeve. The marvelous fish-fueled brain of his butler Jeeves. For only a superb intellect like Jeeves’ can rescue Bertie from a rather sticky affair involving an 18th Century silver cow creamer; a stolen policeman’s helmet; a missing notebook; and the looming menace that is Roderick Spode, the amateur dictator.
