Booking Around Town: A Downingtown Library Company 150th Anniversary Celebration
November 28 (Small Business Saturday) – December 12
Partner with the Downingtown Library for Booking Around Town—a fun, community-wide event that encourages Library patrons to visit and discover participating local businesses.
How it works:
We are seeking 25 local businesses to volunteer as Destinations!
- Each business selects a book from our 150 Books List.
- Patrons will receive a bingo-style bookcase card featuring the 25 participating businesses.
- Each participating business will be provided with custom stickers featuring the book they selected.
- Patrons will visit participating businesses to collect book stickers. They will place the stickers on their Bookcase cards, aiming to get 5 in a row.
- Patrons return their completed cards to the Library to enter our prize drawing. Prize winners will be selected at random from completed cards.

In addition to giving each Patron the Library-provided customized book sticker, we ask Destination Businesses to offer something of value to Booking Around Town players, such as:
- A percentage discount
- A round-up amount donated to the Downingtown Library
- A coupon for a future visit or purchase
- A small complimentary item

For businesses without a traditional storefront for patrons to visit—we invite you to become a Sponsor:
- Contribute $50 or more towards prizes
- Contribute an item, service, or coupon towards prizes
