Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia Print & Go Pass (2 adults and up to 5 children) Please also reserve a timed ticket at https://bit.ly/ANSMuseumPass before you visit. You will need to enter the Reservation Code printed on the pass. Please bring pass and timed tickets with you to the museum. This pass provides free general admission for two adults and five children and is valid only for the date printed on the pass.* At the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, you can wander among towering dinosaur skeletons or explore ecosystems from around the world. Be transported to the great outdoors through our hands-on discovery center for children or watch scientists at work in Science Live or our Fossil Prep Lab. Chanticleer Garden Pick-Up Pass (4 individuals; children age 12 and under are free.) If you are arriving by personal vehicle on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, you must reserve a parking voucher for the day and time of your visit. Every person 13 years and over in the vehicle must be covered by the pass. Garden opens to the public April 1st through November 1st. Visit Chanticleer website for garden hours.
Elmwood Park Zoo Pick-Up Pass (2 adults and 6 children) Free general admission for 2 adults and up to 6 children; a 10% discount at the zoo’s shop and cafe. Visit Elmwood Park Zoo website for hours and current exhibits. The Elmwood Park Zoo is a zoo in Norristown, Pennsylvania that houses hundreds of animals representing 100 species. It has a focus on North and South American animals but is home to animals from around the world.
Lancaster Science Factory Print & Go Pass (5 people) Children age 2 and younger are admitted for free. Children age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18+. Not valid for special or after hours events. The Lancaster Science Factory is an interactive science center for kids ages Pre-K – 8th grade and their families. There are over 75 hands-on exhibits to explore, live science demonstrations on select days, and engaging workshops in our Youth Maker Space.
Tyler Arboretum Pick-Up Pass (4 individuals) Library passes may not be used to attend the Pancake Breakfast or Pumpkin Days fundraisers. Located in the heart of Delaware County, PA, Tyler Arboretum is a place of natural beauty and history dating back to the time of William Penn. Today, Tyler serves the Greater Philadelphia region through horticulture, education, and the preservation of natural lands. NOTE: this pass is not currently available.
How Does It Work?
- Browse from the list of available locations.
- Reservations can be placed up to 60 days in advance. You can make your reservation online, or call the library to make one over the phone. (610-269-2741)
- Please note that all “Pick-Up Passes” must be picked up and returned to the Downingtown Library Circulation Desk during regular business hours. Do not drop the passes in the outside book drops, or at any other Chester County library. Check out a pass at the Circulation Desk on Day 1. Return the pass to the Circulation Desk by the end of day 3.
- “Print and Go Passes” There is no need to come to the library to check these passes out and nothing to return! Enjoy the convenience of printing them from your home printer (after reserving them here). Passes must be used on the day for which it is reserved. Reserve passes for any day that the museum is open . . . even if the library is closed. If you do not have a printer at home, passes may be reserved and printed at the library.
- The late fee for “Pick-Up Passes” is $20 per day. Passes need to be returned on time so others may use them.Thank you for your consideration of others who are waiting to use the pass.
- Lost pass fees depend on the price of the museum pass. The cost for each pass ranges from $100 to $300.

Who can reserve a pass?
Valid Chester County Library System card holders who are 18 years or older, and with unexpired library accounts with no fines, can reserve a pass. You will not be able to reserve a pass if you have any library fines, an expired card, or under 18 years old.
How do I reserve a museum pass?

Do I need my library card to pick up the museum pass?
Yes, you will need to present the library card that you used when reserving the museum pass to pick it up, unless your record indicates that someone else is authorized to pick up your materials.
What is the loan period for museum passes?
Physical museum passes (i.e. not “print-and-go” passes) loan for three days. Day 1 is the day that you pick up the pass. You have the pass for the entirety of day 2. On day 3, the pass is due back to the Circulation Desk by the library’s closing time. Do not drop the pass kit into the book drops, or return it to any other Chester County library.
Print-and-go passes must be reserved for the “day of use,” meaning you must reserve, print out, and use the pass on the day you’d like to visit the museum. The printed out pass is not valid on any other day.
How far in advance can I reserve a pass?
Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.
How many people are admitted to a museum per pass?
The membership conditions of each museum vary, and are listed next to each museum on the TixKeeper website. Reports from a museum of pass misuse by a library patron will result in a suspension from the Museum Pass Program.
How many passes can I reserve per day/month?
One museum pass can be reserved per day per library card. Note: Additional limits may be imposed to ensure equitable use during times of anticipated high usage like school vacation breaks.

What if I can’t pick up the museum pass until after the reservation date?
You can cancel your museum pass reservation on TixKeeper. If you cannot pick up your reserved pass, but don’t want to cancel your loan, please call the library on the first day of your reservation. If you choose to continue with your loan, please note that you will have one less day of total checkout time for the museum pass.
Where do I return my museum pass?

What if I reserve a museum pass, but don’t check it out?
If you do not notify the library that you cannot pick up on the day of your reservation or simply do not pick up your museum pass, you will forfeit your reservation. If you repeatedly reserve museum passes and do not pick them up, your ability to make reservations may be blocked for a period of time as these items are in very high demand by community members.
