Did you know that only about half of Downingtown Library’s annual budget comes from governmental sources (municipal, county, and state) with the other half coming from private donations? We are so grateful for the donations our patrons give us year after year—we couldn’t do it without you! Contributions of every size add up to help our librarians choose materials, create programs, and improve our spaces.
There are many ways to give to the Downingtown Library: one-time or recurring donations to our Annual Giving Campaign; a dedicated gift to support children’s programming, adult programming, the purchase of materials for the borrowing collection, or for general supplies; sponsorship/attendance at annual fundraising events—all of these benefit the library.
Downingtown Library donors support the Library in these additional ways:
“Name a Shelf” program
You can also support the Downingtown Library through the “Name a Shelf” program! For $100, choose a shelf to honor a loved one or special event with your choice of inscription engraved on a brass label for a period of 1 year. For $1000, your shelf will be permanently dedicated.
