We are pleased to announce the 15th Annual “A MIDWINTER’S NIGHT; a dram good time!”  Whisky tasting and dinner and silent auction to be held at the Northbrook Marketplace, 1805 Unionville-Wawaset Rd, West Chester 19382  (Rt 842) on February 7, 2026 (snow date 2/21). Doors open at 5:30 PM and the program begins at 6:00 PM. All proceeds benefit the Downingtown Library.  Attendees will sample six single-malt whiskies, taste a morsel to enjoy the flavor of each, receive your own Glencairn glass, and enjoy a filet mignon or crab cake dinner. (A vegetarian option OR a gluten-free filet dinner will be available upon request.).  Dregs raffle and silent auction will complete the evening.

The Downingtown Library is a vibrant public library serving over 50,000 residents in Chester County.  In 2026, we celebrate the library’s 150th anniversary. Join us in celebrating this special  year! The library is an integral part of the Downingtown area community, and library services are in great demand and growing. Your support helps us respond to the demand for library programs, services, and collections while we plan for an expanded, improved library in the next few years!
